250cc Clutch Main Spring - Yellow
Yellow main torque spring works best with CFMoto 250 clutch assemblies. This mid-range spring provides more tension than the blue spring and a little less than the red when fully compressed.
Not recommended for CN250 engines
Replacing the stock clutch Main Spring is an inexpensive upgrade that can increase the responsiveness of your go kart.
The main torque spring regulates when the variator "shifts" from a low gear ratio to the higher gear ratios. A stronger main torque spring keeps the buggy in a lower gear ratio until a higher RPM level, and "downshifts" faster when decelerating so you're in a lower ratio when you hit the gas again.
What this means is that you can reach your engine's highest torque range of RPMs at a lower velocity and stay there for a longer period of time.
Note: Using lighter weight rollers/Dr Pulley Sliders (13-15g) with this spring can affect your top speed due to the rollers not being heavy enough to fully overcome the spring's tension before hitting your stock CDI's RPM ceiling. This problem can be largely averted by using our aftermarket performance CDI.

This spring fits all CFMoto 250cc buggies such as Joyner Sand Viper 250 and Hammerhead 250SS. Does not fit well on some other 250cc buggies (OD of spring is too wide for some CN250 clutch assemblies).
