Level 2 Air upgrade has a 30mm intake manifold, intake riser, mounting hardware, and a 30mm pumper carburetor!  This kit comes with an intake riser for GY6 150cc engines, 30mm intake manifold, 30mm pumper carburetor, intake gasket, two o-rings, and socket head mounting bolts for the riser and intake manifold! Upgrading to a 30mm intake manifold and carburetor really opens up the amount of air and fuel that can be burned in your system, creating more power! We highly recommend combining this kit with a performance intake and exhaust for best results. This kit eliminates the problem of not having enough room around your intake manifold to attach the air intake to your carburetor. The BPNW exclusive intake riser lifts the carburetor up approximately 2.75" giving you plenty of clearance above the crossbar that is common on many GY6 buggies! You may need to rejet the carburetor with this modification, depending on your buggy's air intake and exhaust setup. What size jet you need to upgrade to will depend on your elevation and the season (outside temperature) that you will be riding in. Generally speaking, with just a UNI filter upgrade, you'll need a jet somewhere between 125 and 140. If upgrading the air intake and exhaust, you'll need between 130 and 155 and possibly larger depending on your carburetor, exhaust, and riding location. Purchasing multiple jet sizes can save you a lot of time in the long run. This 30mm carburetor comes with a 130 main jet and 35 pilot jet installed. In most stock mini-buggies and go-karts the stock air intakes and mufflers are restricting air flow and this can lead to significantly less power than the motor is capable of. You can change this by using a UNI Filter and velocity stack to increase your buggy's performance. This easy modification improves the airflow greatly over the stock air intake box. On a GY6 150cc buggy, it is recommended that you use a Velocity Stack Intake (sometimes called a "Redneck Intake"), which is an extension that attaches to the Carburetor with your UNI Filter at the other end. This carburetor can be used with your existing throttle cable with no modification! It is highly recommended that you port out your cylinder head intake to 27mm to match the inner diameter on the intake riser for optimal performance from this modification! |
